After hours care

Wellington Accident and Urgent Medical Centre

Afterhours care for urgent medical problems is provided through the Wellington Accident and Urgent Medical Centre at 17 Adelaide Road, Newtown. You can visit their website wamc.co.nz or call them on 04 384 4944.

Our doctors work on a roster with all GPs in Wellington to provide afterhours care for the people of Wellington. The Centre provides a full range of urgent medical assessment and treatment including ECGs, Xrays and plastering of fractures. This is a walk-in clinic where people are triaged on arrival and treated accordingly. Please note that consultation fees are a little higher than the Onslow Medical Centre fees to cover the cost of providing an afterhours service.
